A question..

Hello, again. I just wanted to say your advice was very helpful, Jessica. Although it wasn't so much suggesting "spend time away" than referring to it as "selfish." I am not exactly pious, but I very much hate to take things from people or inconvenience them. Coming to realize such a feeling would be selfish in this case means a lot. I'm not completely over her, but I'm on my way, I think.

What I want to ask you is, as stupid as this will sound, what do girls like? I have known very many in my life, but they all view me as a "friend." I get pretty odd looks at school for sitting at a lunch table that is otherwise completely girls, but that's what I do, and they seem to like my company. I'm just that "really nice guy," and I don't think anything more than friendship has ever crossed over any of their minds. I don't mind, really, but I was curious. I'm not ugly, (or so I've been told), I'm not particularly annoying...most of the time, and I'm a perfect gentlemen whenever possible (including pulling out chairs, opening doors, standing when a lady leaves the table, and so on). Is their something I do wrong that makes me completely ineligible? I'm not going to take this information and change myself...I like who I am. I'm just really curious, is all.

Oh boy, here we go again. Why does this have to be such a problem?

Hey, you complain a lot, you know?

Oh, I know, but once you have it figured out it all seems so simple.

Yeah, especially if you're a girl.

See here, my righteous and horny little compadre. The thing is, chicks dig the nice guys. But society, also known as the man, keeps them from just jumping into the arms of guys that don't express a little more interest above opening doors or being polite.

It's true.

It takes some getting used to, but you've got to add a little flash to your style.

Maybe not that much flash.

Seek the real you inside you and do not be afraid to stumble upon the path.

Don't be afraid of electrocution or pit traps either. Metaphorically speaking.

Do not be afraid of getting punched in the face.

Metaphorically speaking?

So come on! I imagine it's not very easy, but hey, it's not easy for the ladies either. We have to sit around, metaphorically speaking, and wait for a "jerk." And 75% of the time they turn out to actually be jerks.
