I spent a while meditating and now I know myself. The problem is that I have no idea what to do with that knowledge and I don't have any more vacation days to spend wandering the desert in deep thought. What exactly is the advantage to understanding oneself?
The Gurus Respond:
Self-discovery is an endless journey. You can never fully know yourself because you always have the capacity to grow beyond your present state of being.
It is therefore pointless to attempt to define your entire existence based on a limited period of meditation.
Especially during spring break, for crying out loud!
Wet t-shirt contests galore, yet you spend your vacation time wandering the desert?
I'm glad you understand yourself, because I sure don't.
